While we are writing six players are fighting for a place at the final tournament, fixed in Kishinev, September 4^th to 25^th. Maybe today two players will be qualified, maybe tomorrow a tie-break will be played.

We are sure we did our best in order to let players and accompaniers have a good staying and good conditions of playing. We hope they will appreciate our efforts.

We are obliged to congratulate all on their behaviour. No incident occurred. Many commonplaces also about women tournaments have been discredited.

Now Aosta Valley will devote itself to Italian chess. Stages for young players, the qualification tournament for the Italian championship, the final tournament of the Italian championship. International chess will come back at:

The international open tournaments are the heart of chess activity in Aosta Valley. Six of them were held in the chief town, Aosta, two in Saint-Vincent. In a tournament we registered 23 nations and 22 Grandmasters. The chess festival is also the best opportunity to connect chess and tourism. We shall organize two open tournaments:

Secondary: under 1900 national rating these players can choose the main or secondary one

15 Grandmasters and 15 International Masters are secured but we think they will be more
